The underlying philosophy
The weight of indifference allows solid initiatives to stand out when faced with ethical excesses. The Palea Organisation defines its ethical views upon two basic principles:
- respect for the people: citizen, users, developers, hackers
- respect for the environment: primary resources, ecosystems, and by extension computing resources
It therefore naturally endorses and values any form of safe guard enabling that indifference, such as transparency and collaboration, or even direct actions.
